Big Pine Key is located in the Lower Keys at mile marker 33. You can find the RV park at:

RV site guests can check in daily starting from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Check-in is available from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm for rental units including travel trailers and Airstreams. Early check-in is not available for rental units. 

Early arrivals (before 1:15 pm) will be charged $20. Early arrivals will be accepted based on availability. 

The resort entry gate has a 13.2′ clearance. Taller RVs must use an alternative gate. Please park on the road while staff unlocks the alternative gate.

For guests needed to check-in after 7:00pm, please notify our team before 7:00 pm by calling (305) 872-2351. Call the number listed on the front office when you arrive so a staff member can escort you to your site. 

No check-in after 10:00pm.

Check out is at 11:00 am.

Yes, Big Pine Key RV Park does allow tents on RV sites. There is a maximum of 3 tents per site. All tents must fit within the RV site.

We provide parking for one camper and one car. 

Trailers of any kind are not allowed at RV sites. Additional cars and trailers will be assigned a parking space and charged out at $10/day.

Call Big Pine Key at (305) 872-2351 for boat slip availability and to secure a reservation. Boat slips start at $21.50 per day for guests. Boat slip fees include the slip, parking for a boat trailer, and boat ramp use.

Boat slips are only for guests and approved local charter captains.

Boating services:

• Hose available for boat rinsing
• Paid power wash – $2 in quarters
• Public boat ramp – $10
• Gas pumps are available to guests and to the public.

Yes. The Big Pine Key RV Park store is open to guests and the public from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. 

Restock on ice, drinks, and snacks. The store is also stocked with frozen bait, tackle, firewood, and camping gear.

The store does not offer propane sales. Visit the nearby Winn Dixie for propane. Fishing licenses are also not sold on-site, but can be purchased online. 

Yes. A recreational saltwater fishing license and lobster permit are required during mini lobster season in July. Please check out additional rules and regulations for mini season and regular lobster season.

No. However you can rent a boat on-site through Charter Marine. The same company also operates fishing charters out of the marina at Big Pine Key RV Park.

No, Big Pine Keys does not offer day passes to the swimming pool, amenities, or events. The amenities on site are reserved for Big Pine Key RV Park guests only. 

The Big Pine Key RV Park store and food truck are open to the public.

Yes, the swimming pool is heated at Big Pine Key RV Park. 

There is not a hot tub.

Yes. Guests can bring e-bikes and electric scooters. The speed limit within the park is 5 miles per hour.

Pets are allowed at RV sites as long as they are not aggressive and are leashed at all times. Fencing for pets is not allowed.

Pets are not allowed in travel trailer rentals, Airstream rentals, vacation cottages, or in rustic sites as part of the Cove Communities pet policy. 

The RV park does not offer shuttle service. However, Key West Transit does have a bus stop near Big Pine Key RV Park. The bus ride from Big Pine Key to Key West is an hour. The bus costs about $4 and leaves every three hours.

Generators are not allowed in the tent/ rusitic camping area of Big Pine Key because the area backs up to the Key Deer Reserve.

Yes, wifi is available for guests.

Guests may not post “Beware of Dog” or “No Trespassing” type signs on the Recreational Vehicle, hereby “RV” (e.g. trailer, motorhome, fifth wheel, etc.) site or in / on the windows of the RV. Guests may display one portable, removable official Country (e.g. US, Canada, etc.) flag, or official flag of the State, not larger than 4 1⁄2 feet by 6 feet, in a respectful manner in or on their RV or site. Guests may also display one portable, removable official flag, not larger than 4½ feet by 6 feet, which represents the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, sports teams, holidays, non-political or a POW-MIA flag in a respectful manner in or on their RV or site. No other flags may be displayed on the RV, on the lot, or anywhere else, to include any and all political flags, signs, or advertisements.

• Reservation Policy:

• • Daily Reservations (less than 14 days) – payment in full is required at the time of booking.
  • Daily Reservations (15-29 days) –  a 25% deposit is required during booking. The balance is due 14 days before arrival.
  • Long Term Reservations (30 days or more) – a 10% deposit on the total stay is required during booking. The balance is due no less than 30 days before arrival. A utility deposit will be required. 
  • A 3% credit card transaction fee will be applied to all reservations of 30 days or more.

• General Cancellation Policies:

• • All cancellations must be received in writing.
  • A no show will result in forfeit of the entire deposit and the reservation will be canceled.
  • There will be no refunds for shortened lengths of stay.
  • There will be no refunds due to inclement weather, but dates can be changed as long as the dates are within the same year (within 12 months of the original reservation).

• Cancellation of Daily Reservations (Less than 30 Days)

• • Cancellations 14 days or more before check-in, will receive a refund less a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Reservations canceled less than 14 days before arrival are not eligible for a refund.

• Cancellation of Long-Term (30 days or more) Reservations

• • Cancellations 30 days or more before check in date will receive a refund less a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations less than 30 days or more before check-in, will forfeit their deposit.

• Annual (12 months) – Early Departure

• • Rate will revert to the appropriate rate for actual RV site stay unless the monthly rate is less than the annual rate. Any refund due will be determined using the adjusted rate.
  • Refunds will be made according to the original payment type.
  • Credit card payments will be credited to the original credit card.
  • Refunds for reservations paid by Check will be processed at Cove’s home office. Please allow up to 14 business days for refund.
