When in DeLand, Do as The Meadowlea Villagers Do

Insiders Look: A Week in the Life of a Meadowlea Village Resident

Meadowlea Village Sport Court Activity Arena

The weekly activities at Meadowlea Village are a never-ending source of pleasure. When each Monday rolls around, residents look forward to playing their favorite card games like Texas Hold ‘Em with neighbors and friends. On Tuesdays, the highlight is the variety of exercise classes set up for all levels of activity and of course more poker, and other exciting multi-player games. The thrills continue on Thursdays with a rousing bingo game for all and if that doesn’t elevate your heart rate there are more exercise classes to peak your fancy. And as all weeks must end with a ‘bang!’ so must this one – Friday nights are reserved for communal jam sessions for all to show off their unique talents and let the creativity flow.

Look Forward to These Upcoming Events

The Rhythm Section of The DeLand Swing Band

On March 10th the DeLand Swing Band will get everyone up on their feet, jiving to the upbeat rhythms. This impressive 13-member group will entertain by playing the swing and pop music they know best; and that includes music ranging from the ‘30s all the way in to the ‘80s! This event is definitely for you if you know any of the following dances: Foxtrot, Beguine, Merengue, Swing, Shuffle, Cha-Cha and much more. Whether you are Irish or not, everyone can appreciate the celebration of St. Patricks Day, so don’t miss the dance on March 16 honoring the occasion. All this excitement is sure to work up an appetite – and holidays are always best when sharing a meal with friends.  Mark your calendars for April 21, when the resort will host an Easter Dinner so come for the food – but stay for the wonderful company!

Get Up and Go…Outside!
