Calling All Snowbirds -- Head to Holiday RV Village

Your Winter’s Abode

In February, while much of the nation is shivering in winter’s frigid grip, residents of Holiday RV Village in Leesburg, Florida are basking in sunshine and balmy temperatures. Life is full and rich here with a calendar brimming over with happy pursuits. Below are activities to anticipate during the month.

Be There for These Exciting Events

The biggest events on the agenda are the Resident Fund’s Craft Show and the Olympics. Other entertainments include a clown show, as well as performances by an Elvis impersonator and a singer from the Christy Minstrels, a folk music group of the ‘60s.

Yet there is much more! Additional events involve a community-wide yard sale, along with a fine arts show, where artists from Central Florida come to display their work. Parties are also scheduled for residents from the states of New York and Michigan, which are opportunities to enjoy food, fun and fellowship. In addition, bingo games are held twice a week, and individual clubs have potlucks and luncheons.

Let Mardi Gras Happen

Even though much is happening at the resort, it’s always nice to make a day trip into Orlando, which is less than an hour’s drive away. From February 9 through April 4, Universal will host Mardi Gras, a party inspired by the New Orleans’ event. It will include a parade, concerts by well-known performers and Louisiana cuisine such as gumbo and jambalaya.

We invite you to make our resort your winter’s abode. For more information or to make reservations, call (800) 428-5334. The address is 28229 County Road 33, Leesburg, FL.
