    Strawberry Ridge Village is an award-winning, gated adult community especially designed to help you enjoy Florida’s lifestyle affordably. We offer a wide array of recreational activities right on site including tennis, pickleball, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, and the Strawberry Club billiards room. And what our residents love is that the city lights and adventures of Tampa, Lakeland, St. Petersburg and Clearwater are all within 30 miles!
  2. Where is Valrico, Florida?
    Valrico is located near the Gulf Coast of Central Florida, between Tampa and Lakeland just off the I-4 corridor.
  3. What is there to do in the surrounding area of StrawBerry Ridge?
    Valrico is located in West Central Florida less than five miles east of Brandon, and 10 miles east of Tampa. Combine the quiet charm of Valrico with the cosmopolitan sights of the city, and you get the best of both worlds. With I-75 seven miles down the road, you’re linked to all of the surrounding areas.Everything from frequenting the performing arts centers, betting at the horse and dog tracks to watching your favorite sporting event at one of the great Tampa stadiums. Beaches, casual and upscale shopping, local eateries and fine dining; you name it!

    Central Florida offers a number of things to do all year round, such as the Walt Disney World theme parks, Lego Land, the Historic Book Sanctuary, Busch Gardens, the Kennedy Space Center and Daytona Speedway. For the sports enthusiast, Marchant Stadium is close by and the city of Tampa offers great arenas for baseball, football and hockey fans!

    Brandon-Humana Hospital is just five miles away in Brandon, offering one of the areas few trauma centers. Plus Tampa General Hospital is located approximately 30 minutes from the community.

    The area serves almost every faith, and some worship houses are as close as two miles from StrawBerry Ridge.

    Tampa International is approximately 25 miles from StrawBerry Ridge, providing non-stop service to more than 70 international destinations.
  8. What kind of shopping is in Valrico?
    Countless shopping centers, malls and boutiques focusing on many different interests and ranging from casual to upscale, are located within a very short drive.
  9. Is there storage for my RV or boat?
    We have on-site storage areas available for oversized vehicles!
  10. What is the pet policy at StrawBerry Ridge?
    At StrawBerry Ridge we welcome pets with reasonable rules in place. There are no weight restrictions; however we do restrict aggressive* dog breeds.
  11. Where is the nearest commissary?
    MacDill Air Force Base is located in South Tampa approximately 35 minutes from StrawBerry Ridge.
  12. What is the climate like?
    We have one of the most comfortable climates in the state with an average year-round temperature of 74 degrees.
  13. Are there golf courses close by?
    There are number of fine championship courses in the area including Diamond Hill, Bloomingdale, Plantation and Summerfield Crossings, all of which are a five- to 10-mile drive.
  14. Do you offer fitness/exercise facilities?
    Yes, we do provide our residents with exceptional facilities for health and wellness. You can work out to your heart’s content in our fitness center. We offer state-of-the-art Nautilus equipment, including treadmills, stationery bikes, stair-steppers and more! If you prefer floor exercising, we offer aerobic classes in our studio for individuals or groups. Tennis and pickleball courts, and shuffleboard are also available.
  15. What about nearby fishing?
    West Central Florida is home to some of the best sports fishing in the state. For the deep-sea fisherman, the Gulf of Mexico is within 25 miles of StrawBerry Ridge providing access to Florida’s finest grouper, snapper and tarpon. There is also fly-fishing on the flats, and you can drop a link in just about any of Florida’s rivers or lakes. Don’t miss out on some of the best bass along the Alafia and Hillsborough Rivers, just a 12-mile drive away … a fantastic meal awaits you!
  16. What type of activities do you have at StrawBerry Ridge?
    Where to start … There are a ton of activities daily and nightly for just about any interest. For the crafty folk, “The Berry Clay Pit” is run by an instructor with over 45 years of ceramics experience hosting a number of classes weekly. Enjoy painting, wood working, an array of cards and games; the list is endless. From square dancing to live music, card parties, pancakes breakfasts, potluck dinners to Bingo, you’ll never get bored!
  17. I’ve never lived in a manufactured home . . . are they safe?
    In short; very. All manufactured homes built from 1994 on require wind standard construction, which is governed by HUD. Our homes are built to withstand winds of 125 mph. In fact, StrawBerry Ridge made it through the Hurricanes of 2004 without any major damage!
