Golfing during COVID-19
On course protocol
1.) Walking encouraged (or required). If you are healthy and able, we urge golfers to walk as a form of social distancing.
2.) One to a cart. It is recommended that you use a cart for each golfer, and only allow family to share.
3.) Two club-lengths. Although nearly every club is advising social distancing, the Central Links Golf association in Kansas has been very specific: “Stay at least six feet away from your playing partners.”
4.) Flagsticks in. Please leave the flagstick in to avoid touching it when retrieving holed putts.
5.) Instead of raking, smooth sand with your feet, or be sure to use a gloved or covered hand if using a rake.
6.) Do not use ball washers if they are still available on course - don't use anything that people may touch regularly.
7.) No high-fives. We know golf is a gentlemen's (and women's) game, but for now we highly recommend dispensing with shaking hands, high-fives or hugging.
